🎶 Early Life & Musical Roots Arijit hails from a musically inclined family. His father, Kakkar Singh, is a Punjabi Sikh, and his mother, Aditi Singh, was a Bengali Hindu. His grandmother, mother, and sister were all accomplished singers, while his maternal uncle played the tabla. Recognizing his passion for music early on, his parents enrolled him in professional training under the guidance of the Hazari brothers.
