Arijit hails from a musically inclined family. His father, Kakkar Singh,
is a Punjabi Sikh, and his mother, Aditi Singh, was a Bengali Hindu. His

on, his parents enrolled him in professional training under the guidance
of the Hazari brothers. By the age of nine, he had secured a government
